New Holland wins 142 unit tender by the Italian Army for construction applications

NEW Holland Construction says it has successfully won the majority of the biggest tender ever promoted by the Italian Army for construction equipment applications.

According to New Holland, for a total of 21 million euros (A$34.09m), the 142 units of equipment will be delivered over the next 12 to 24 months from at least three different CNH European plants in Turin and Lecce, Italy and the Berlin plant in Germany.

The 142 units requested are said to include a total of five different models from the D180 Dozer, F156.6 Grader, and E245BM Crawler Excavator to the W130 and W190 wheel loaders.

New Holland says among the construction equipment units ordered, several Crawler Excavators equipped with crushers and orange-peel grabs, and Compact Track Loaders will be immediately used for demolition and scrap removal in the Abruzzo earthquake-stricken area.
